Ghost Maker Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated: October 9, 2026

Ghost Media Maker is a private, owner-operated studio for creating videos, publishing to connected social accounts, and organizing comments. This policy applies to ghostmediamaker.com and its connected Meta application, Devil's Owls-IG, including information about people who comment on connected Instagram posts.

The operator is Valis Automation. For privacy questions, contact [email protected].

Information we handle

  • Connected accounts: account IDs, usernames, connection settings, and access tokens used to communicate with authorized social platforms.
  • Instagram activity: API-accessible post IDs, captions, links, dates and metrics; comment text, author IDs and names or usernames, reply relationships, likes and timestamps; and the studio's local read and triage status, summaries and reply drafts.
  • Production content: channel prompts and settings, uploaded files, scripts, narration, captions, finished videos, and generation, approval and publishing records.
  • Account and technical information: the studio owner's sign-in information, session records and operational logs. Hosting and network services also process information needed to serve and protect the site, such as IP addresses and request details.

Information comes from the studio owner, connected platforms, people interacting with connected posts, and the operation of the service.

How information is used

We use this information to verify connections, discover published videos across a connected Instagram account, collect and organize comments, create and review content, publish authorized videos, understand available post performance, and keep the studio secure and reliable.

Comment monitoring can include videos uploaded outside Ghost Maker. Its comment tools read and organize comments and prepare local reply drafts; they do not post replies, hide comments or delete comments on Instagram.

Service providers and optional AI processing

Meta processes requests for connected Instagram accounts, comments, media and publishing. Cloudflare provides network delivery and protection for the public site. These services handle the information needed for their functions.

When the owner explicitly requests an AI comment summary or reply draft, selected comment text and usernames, post context and channel instructions are sent to OpenAI. Routine comment collection does not itself send comments to an AI provider. Requested summaries and drafts are stored in the studio.

Content-generation features may send prompts and script context to OpenAI, and narration text and voice settings to ElevenLabs or Google for speech generation. If the owner connects an external assistant such as ChatGPT, it can receive studio information within the access granted to that connection. Service providers process received information under their own applicable terms and privacy policies.

YouTube, Facebook Pages and TikTok publishing

Optional connections use YouTube API Services, Meta’s Facebook Page Reels API, and Zernio for TikTok. We store the selected account identity, granted permissions, encrypted access and refresh tokens, and connection status. Uploads share only the selected finished video and reviewed publishing metadata with the selected platform (and Zernio for TikTok). Temporary signed media links allow the publishing service to fetch that exact file.

Connecting an account does not authorize posting. Publishing requires review and authorization. We retain upload session and remote post identifiers to recover interrupted work without silently creating duplicate posts. Secrets and upload capabilities are encrypted at rest. The owner may disconnect in channel settings, revoke access through the platform, and request deletion of retained data through the contact process below.

Use of YouTube features is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke Google access in Google account permissions. TikTok connections also involve Zernio and TikTok under their applicable privacy policies.

Storage, security and retention

Studio records and media are stored on the operator's server and in its backups. Access to the studio requires authorization. Social access tokens and provider credentials are encrypted at rest; that does not mean every comment, document or media file is encrypted by the application.

Collected comments and production records currently have no automatic expiry. Retention and deletion are managed manually by the operator. Records can remain stored until removed; you can request deletion using the contact process below.

Pausing collection or disconnecting Instagram does not erase previously collected information. Removing an item from the studio's media library may also retain files and history for recovery. A privacy deletion request is separate from those controls and can cover retained records, AI drafts and backup copies. We will explain any required retention that applies to your request.

Cookies and browser storage

The studio uses an essential sign-in cookie and browser storage to preserve drafts and editing preferences. The application does not include advertising pixels. Hosting and network services may use their own security mechanisms to deliver and protect the site.

Your choices and data deletion

You can request access, correction or deletion of information about you by emailing [email protected]. This is available to commenters as well as the connected account owner; no Ghost Maker login is needed.

  1. Use the subject Ghost Maker privacy request and say whether you want access, correction or deletion.
  2. Include your Instagram username and, if relevant, a link to the post or comment so we can locate the information. Do not send passwords or access tokens.
  3. We may ask for limited information to verify that the request relates to you, then address the request and explain the outcome or any applicable retention requirement. Handling a request may also require stopping collection for the relevant post or account to prevent the information being collected again.

The connected account owner can also revoke Devil's Owls-IG in Instagram's Apps and websites settings to stop future access. To remove stored copies, send a deletion request as described above. Deleting data held by Ghost Maker does not delete the original posts or comments on Instagram or data independently held by other providers.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when these practices change and show the revised date above. Privacy questions and requests can always be sent to the contact listed on this page.
